Exciting news for Bonavista!
The Town of Bonavista is pleased to see a major investment in the future of our natural spaces, with improvements coming to the Old Days Pond conservation area.
The federal government is investing $200,000 in this project through the Natural Infrastructure Fund (NIF), and the Town of Bonavista is contributing $50,000.
This project will help protect and restore the wetland ecosystem through native vegetation planting, boardwalk repairs, and new bird boxes — enhancing both biodiversity and public access to one of our community’s treasured outdoor spaces.
These improvements will create a more welcoming and sustainable environment for residents and visitors alike while preserving the natural beauty of Old Days Pond for future generations.
We thank the Government of Canada for supporting this important project and helping strengthen Bonavista’s commitment to environmental stewardship and accessible green spaces.
