Attention Bonavista Residents:
Due to ongoing dry conditions, our community’s water supply is now at a critically low level. Effective immediately, a Water Usage Ban is in place to protect our essential supply.
This is not a precaution — it’s a necessity. With the high fire index in our region, every drop counts. If a fire emergency occurs, our fire department must have the water it needs to protect lives, homes, and our community. Without your cooperation, we risk facing dangerous shortages.
If water usage does not decrease immediately, there is a high potential that all community water services will be temporarily shut off to conserve our remaining supply.
Do your part — let’s not get to that point.
Your cooperation is essential. By conserving water now, we can protect our supply for drinking, sanitation, and emergency services — and avoid more severe restrictions later.
Enforcement: Town staff will be actively monitoring compliance with this Order. Violators may be subject to penalties.
Thank you for doing your part to keep Bonavista safe and supplied.
