Electronics Recycling Program

New Products Effective June 1, 2026

Effective June 1, 2026, Electronic Products Recycling Association (EPRA) would like to inform those wishing to recycle electronics that there will be new products for electronics recycling accepted going forward:

• Floor standing copiers, printers and multi-function devices

• Computer servers, switching equipment and uninterruptible power supply units

• Handheld power tools

• Electric bikes and scooters

• Textiles processing equipment (ex: sewing machines)

• Electronic toys (micro/portable)

As many of these products contain lithium batteries and to ensure the safe transport of these materials, we have included some guidance and reminders below.

a) EPRA does NOT accept loose batteries of any kind

b) Do not accept excessively damaged items (nothing with exposed batteries or broken glass).

c) Handheld Power Tools - Please ensure that the battery is attached to the device.

d) E-bikes and E-Scooters - Please do not place these in the bags. These can be rolled onto the truck at pickup.

e) Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). Please do not place these in an e-bag and pack these on a skid with pallet wrap.
