Public Notice - Water Boil Order

Effective as of Thursday, August 13, 2026, there is a boil water order issued until further notice for Bonavista Water Supply due to advice of Service NL.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please take the following precautions:

• Boil water used for drinking purposes, for at least 1 minute at a rolling boil, prior to use;

• Boil water for activities where it may be ingested;

• Do not drink from any public drinking fountains in the affected area;

• People may use the water for washing and bathing;

• Ensure that younger children and infants are sponge bathed.

• Business owners/operators (bed and breakfasts), landlords, and public facilities operators should notify their customers of the Boil Water Notice.

Officials are working to resolve the issue. This boil water advisory does not impact residents whose water comes from wells.
